Events in the year of our anniversary

In the year of its anniversary, Eawag will present itself at various events and also host events for experts in the field of water management. The Eawag Infotag presents current results from the three research fields "microbiology of drinking water/micropollutants", "water infrastructure in Switzerland and in developing countries" and "aquatic ecosystems".

At the Science City Treffpunkt of its affiliated institution ETH Zurich, Eawag presented key topics in the field of aquatic research at different occasions.

At the Zürcher Umwelttage, you can familiarise yourselves with the work of Eawag and find out why water plays such an important role in our lives by means of simple experiments with water. You will also find out what is required to secure this important resource.

On the Tag des Abwassers, the main building "Forum Chriesbach" of Eawag will be open to visitors. Here you can find out how current research findings are integrated in the building's technology. A lecture will also provide information about questions of water supply and community hygiene in developing countries.

Eawag offers further guided tours for the public in 2011 at its two locations Luzern/Kastaniebaum and Dübendorf. Here the visitors will have the opportunity to visit research facilities and speak with the researchers.

The public lecture by Eawag researcher Prof. Willi Gujer at ETH Zurich will provide insight into one of the most important research fields of Eawag: urban water management.
