Oliver Selz

function

  • PhD Student in the group biodiversity dynamics

research interest

I am interested in aquatic sciences as a whole, yet in particularly on the different  aspects of the biology of fish species.

research projects

  • Assortative mating within the Pundamilia species-pair of Lake Victoria:
Investigation whether assortative mating in this species-pair relies primarily on visual cues or if other cues may be involved too.
  • Assortative mating along a water-transect with a turbidity gradient (the Mwanza Golf) between different populations of Pundamilia nyererei:
Testing whether all the populations behave in the same manner, or if differences arise in assortative mating.
