Fisheries Advisory Office

Eawag operates a Fisheries Advisory Office (FIBER) with the Federal Office for the Environment (Bafu) and the Swiss Fisheries Association (SFV) at Eawag in Kastanienbaum, Lucerne.

FIBER is an information and further education centre for recreational fishermen, professional fishermen, interested persons and experts in the areas of fish and fisheries management. It provides information on scientific discoveries in a comprehensible form, and advises on management and aquatic ecology free of charge.

The centre acts as an important bridge between research, legislation and fishers.
