Swiss Centre for Applied Ecotoxicology

The Swiss Centre for Applied Ecotoxicology of Eawag/EPFL has the goal to discover and asses the effects of chemicals on our environment, and to minimize its risks. It specializes in knowledge management, knowledge transfer and technology transfer and builds a bridge between research and application.

An important mission is to pass on expert knowledge and thus impart professional skills. Therefore the employees engage in training and continuing education and make their knowledge available to the public.

The headquarter of the Swiss Centre for Applied Ecotoxicology is located at Eawag in Duebendorf. The second site, which specialises in terrestrial ecotoxicology, is located at EPFL in Lausanne.
