Research Initiatives
Research Initiatives
In the case of overlapping research questions, Eawag initiates and supports interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary projects, where experts work in cooperation with decision-makers from industry, administration and professional associations outside Eawag. These projects are cross-cutting projects on the one hand, and research initiatives on the other.
Cross-cutting projects are managed and financed by Eawag. They run for a limited period and combine basic research with concrete problem-solving. Research initiatives are projects carried out in cooperation with or by external partners. Various Eawag departments make a contribution to these initiatives, which approach the subject from a comprehensive perspective.
