Download of the long-term data series

The excel files are created with the PC dataformat and consist of 8 sheets:

  1. "Rechtsgrundlagen" = Legal Basis
  2. "Konzentrationen_2W" = concentrations in a two-weekly rhythm.
  3. "Frachten_2W" = loads of the concentrations in a two-weekly rhythm.
  4. "Jahresmittel K" = annual average of the concentrations
  5. "Jahresmittel F" = annual average of the loads
  6. "Bemerkungen" = remarks on special events
  7. "Störungen" = interruptions or malfunctions during sampling, transport or preparation of the samples in the laboratory
  8. "Logsheet" = All editing of the data file
  9. "Sammelprobe K": Sampling usulally took place every two weeks (14 days), with the following exceptions:
Until 1980, samples of all stations where collected in a weekly interval, at Thur-Andelfingen until 1988.
During flood events samples were collected at shorter intervals at some stations.
Samples were sometimes taken less frequently due to problems with the sampling equipment.
  10. "Mask" = a hidden sheet, which serves as resourse for creating "moving averages"

Updates

The data files are regularly updated. Details on the changes and file versions are available from Ursula Schönenberger.
The Logfile provides informations about changes in the dataset or useful remarks about the existing data.

Data files and identification of the samples

The data files contain a sheet with the analyzed concentration, the loads, the annual averages of the concentrations and of the loads. A hidden sheet entitled “Maske” includes information on the measured data and is used for the calculation procedure of the moving average.

1.    Abbreviation: Every station is labeled with an two letter abbreviation.
2.    Year, date, time (indicating the end of the sampling)
