7 March 2007, 9.30 –16.30,
ETH Zurich, Main
building, Auditorium Maximum
Is urine source separation and treatment a viable option for modern urban wastewater management? This was the question addressed by the transdisciplinary Novaquatis project, which explored topics ranging from technology development, ecotoxicology and social scientific aspects to initial implementation in pilot projects. The results indicate that urine separation is a highly versatile innovation, offering advantages in a variety of scenarios.
