Eawag is a Swiss-based and internationally linked aquatic research institute committed to an ecological, economical and socially responsible management of water – the primary source of all life.
It carries out research, teaching and consulting and forms a link between science and practical application.
Eawag’s main location is Dübendorf near Zurich. About 300 staff members work here. At Kastanienbaum near Lucerne Eawag houses the Centre of Ecology, Evolution and Biogeochemistry (CEEB). The Centre is situated on the shore of Lake Lucerne and provides facilities for research, education and training including on-site housing for students.
