The workshop will be held at the Eawag Centre for Ecology, Evolution and Biogeochemistry (CEEB) in Kastanienbaum, near Lucerne, in Switzerland. Eawag is a Swiss Federal Research Institute of the ETH domain, and the CEEB Kastanienbaum is situated right on the shores of Lake Lucerne. It provides seminar rooms, state of the art laboratories, fleets of research vessels, and on-site housing for students and scientists, and it is in easy reach of excellent field work sites, both aquaric and terrestrial.
