2004 Annual Report published
May 19th, 2005
The 2004 Eawag Annual Report has now been issued. The publication – incorporating a new visual identity, and combining operational and research-related information – provides an account of the wide range of activities initiated or completed at the Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology in 2004. The institute’s strength lies in its ability to combine basic research with the resolution of contemporary problems, always working hand in hand with practitioners. Whatever the question may be – the design of a lavatory for an SAC cabin or the disposal of faecal sludge in Bangkok, rehabilitation on the River Aare or the Iron Gate dam on the Danube, Antarctic ice core records or waste management in Cuba – Eawag researchers seek to find solutions promoting the sustainable use of water, a resource that is coming under ever-increasing pressure.
