The aims of this conference are to exchange actual research results and Ideas, plan targeted international cooperation in Gammarus research in order to further develop Gammarus spp. as standard test species in ecotoxicology.

Gammarus spp. are key organisms in aquatic ecosystems, both structurally and functionally.A lot of ecological and ecotoxicological work has been performed, which has recently been summarized in a comprehensive review article, provided by the Ecotox Center.
