EUROECOTOX is an European Network that aims to contribute to the advancement of alternative methods of ecotoxicity testing in Europe and promotion of the validation and regulatory acceptance of new alternative methods in ecotoxicology. The EUROECOTOX network and its activities are funded by the European Community's Seventh Framework Programme.

As one activity of our network, we will organize the ”1st European Conference on the Replacement, Reduction and Refinement of Animal Experiments in Ecotoxicology” to be held at Eawag, Dübendorf, Switzerland, from 28th – 29th of June 2012.

We plan a forum with keynote speakers and talks/posters selected from abstract submissions. Please refer to the attached flyer [pdf] for more information. We hereby cordially invite you to help us shape this exciting meeting and submit an abstract.

The conference will be a platform for young scientists and experts from academia, industry and regulation in the research field of 3Rs within environmental risk assessment. The focus will be on the current state and future directions of the development, implementation and application of the 3Rs, from bench to acceptance.
