Scientific programme

Conference days will feature morning plenary sessions with two keynote speakers and six contributed, shorter presentations. In the afternoon, time will be reserved for poster presentations, individual discussions, and working group activities on specific, cross-cutting topics of the conference. After dinner, an evening session with a thought-provoking keynote lecture followed by an open-end discussion will take place. In order to create a vibrant atmosphere for research and discussions all participants are expected to contribute an oral or poster presentation and to attend the entire conference.

On Wednesday afternoon a conference excursion will take place, followed by a dinner in a traditional 'Grotto ticinese'.

Each day will be devoted to one of the following four topics:

Topic 1:
Frontiers in analytical methods for transformation product monitoring and in situ assessment of transformation processes
Topic 2:
Experimental elucidation and computational prediction of transformation pathways and products
Topic 3:
Modeling and assessing the (eco-)toxicological significance of transformation products
Topic 4:
Including transformation products in chemical risk assessment and the assessment of water and soil quality
