About Me

Stanley Bortse Sam holds an MSc in Environmental Biotechnology from Istanbul Technical University. He is currently working as a PhD student with the management of excreta, wastewater and Sludge (MEWS) group at Sandec/Eawag. His research will focus on understanding the governing mechanisms of solid liquid separation in faecal sludge for improved global sanitation. Previous research experience includes the characterisation of exopolysaccharides of Extracellular polymeric substances (EPS) from floccular and aerobic granular sludge. He has worked on the field as a supervisor in wastewater treatment plant treating Gold mine effluents.
