A tiered testing strategy for rapid estimation of bioaccumulation by a combined modelling in vitro testing approach, specifically using a primary gill cell culture procedure as an alternative testing method to assess the uptake of chemicals and the ability of the gill to metabolise and biotransform the chemical as it crosses the epithelium.

April 2016 – April 2017: Research Assistant, University of Exeter, UK

Research involved developing a stable transgenic zebrafish line exploiting the electrophile response element as a highly sensitive detector of cellular RedOx imbalances. In addition, I was involved collaborative project, with other UK labs, investigating verification methods of the fish plasma model.
