Severely impoverished in the last century, the Chriesbach in Dübendorf was returned between 2010 and 2014 to its natural form. The revitalisation of the 900-meter long section between the Kriesbachstrasse bridge and outflow into the Glatt profits a variety of animals and plants. Those in search of recreation also appreciate the revitalised brook. Eawag, which lies on the Chriesbach, makes use of the upgraded project to integrate its “own brook” more thoroughly into its teaching and research programmes.
