Department Systems Analysis, Integrated Assessment and Modelling

The agro-hydrologic SWAT model is coupled with the water allocation optimization model MODSIM.
The paradigm of integrated water resources management requires coupled analysis of hydrology, agriculture, water quality, and water distribution, among other things. In this project we couple the multi-component Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) and MODSIM. While SWAT produces hydrologic and water resources information, MODSIM provides a decision support system for water allocation.
