Nontarget2026 in Ascona, Switzerland — bringing together the global non-target screening community
April 23, 2026 |
Throughout the week, 113 participants from 21 countries worldwide explored innovative applications of high-resolution mass spectrometry, focusing on the identification and analysis of emerging contaminants through non-targeted screening methods. Organized by a collaborative team of Lee Ferguson from Duke University, Emma Schymanski from the University of Luxembourg, and Heinz Singer and Juliane Hollender from Eawag, the event fostered a vibrant exchange of ideas through high-level presentations and poster sessions. Supported by key industry (Waters, Thermo Fisher Scientific, SCIEX), and academic sponsors (Congressi Stefano Franscini, Eawag, Swiss Chemical Society) the conference proved to be a vital milestone in addressing modern environmental challenges through cutting-edge analytical science and data analysis.
