Environmental Risk Assessment
Environmental risk assessment of chemicals tries to identify substances that cause unacceptable damage and detrimental effects on aquatic organisms and ecosystems. We support evidence based environmental risk assessment of chemicals by advancing the understanding of the underlying ecotoxicological processes. We also develop models which capture this knowledge about processes and inter-relationships and make it available for risk managers and practitioners.
