About Me

I am a tenure-track group leader at the Urban Water Management department and SNSF Ambizione Fellow. My group stormwater quality and reuse specializes in quantifying organic contaminants in urban stormwater in grey and blue-green infrastructure systems with novel measurement techniques (e.g., passive sampling) and model assessments of risk to human health and environment.

My research vision is to contribute to circular use of stormwater by fostering fit-for-purpose water quality solutions. Urban stormwater can contaminate surface waters and our drinking water resources and, at the same time, is a valuable resource. One unresolved aspect for the transition to water-wise cities is the pollution of urban stormwater with potentially toxic trace organic contaminants (micropollutants). My research interests strongly link to water quality by developing novel field monitoring and modelling approaches.
