University of Zurich, Lecture UWW 142 (VVZ-Nr. 3719)
Dr. phil. et dipl. Ing. Robert Tobias
Monday, 16:15-18:00, starting 07.11.11, room Y15-G-19
In this lecture we focus on the psychological analysis of man as cause of and solution to environmental problems. The lecture presents psychological theories on determinants of behaviour and processes to change them. The emphasis will be on behaviour change techniques that can be derived from these theories and proved their utility in practice. Besides traditional techniques like knowledge transfer and persuasion, the lecture stresses techniques that affect the moment of performing a behaviour (e.g., memory aids or self-commitments) or that tackle problems arising from changing the behaviour of larger populations (e.g., collective actions or diffusion techniques).
This lecture is held in German.
