Our Expertise

Our solution is developed and conducted by an Eawag interdisciplinary project team from the following departments:

• Urban Water Management (lead): resource-oriented wastewater management
  

• Sandec: Appropriate and sustainable sanitation options in developing countries

• Environmental Social Science, Cirus: Service business development
  

• Engineering: Further development of the GDM concept (developed at Eawag for the production of safe on-site drinking water in developing countries) for use as on-site water recovery; Further development of urine recovery technologies of the VUNA project.
  

• Close collaboration with the renowned Austrian design studio EOOS.
• Collaboration with Makerere University of Kampala, Uganda, Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering
