Can the biotransformation capacities of microbial communities be predicted?

This project aims to develop an improved understanding of the capacities of microbial communities to biotransform a wide range of different organic contaminants. To this end, sequencing-driven metagenomics and biotransformation experiments are combined to establish links between gene expression and observed biotransformation reactions.
