Gel Electrophoresis and Documentation Laboratory

The gel electophoresis lab is used for initial visualisation and documentation of DNA extractions, Restriction ligation and Pre-selective amplification step of AFLP genotyping, Optimization of Microsatellite genotyping protocol and PCR amplifications of products before Sanger sequence analysis. It has all the necessary equipments required for gel electrophoresis steps (e.g. electrophoresis power supply (Consort and Hoefer), buffer tanks, gel molds etc.).
