Molecular Genetics Laboratory
Our state-of-the-art facilities provide infrastructure for a wide range of research in molecular population genetics and evolutionary ecology. The laboratories are used by our research staff, students as well as by visiting scholars.
For Next Generation
Sequencing (NGS) we work with our sequencing center in Berne or outsource our prepared
DNA libraries to commercial sequencing centers. We are associated with the ETH Genetic
Diversity Center where we do some additional applications, such as pyro-sequencing.

List of Applications
-
Library preparation for Next (New) Generation Sequencing
We do library
preparation for Illumina sequencing platforms (e.g HighSeq 2000)
for our RADtaq
sequencing projects using 100 customer made P1 adapters, one
pair of P2 adapters
and a pair of final library amplification primer.
