Über mich

After studying biology and pharmaceutical biotechnology in Italy, I spent almost four years in Barcelona working in computational chemistry and microbial genome engineering.

During my spare time, I love playing basketball, trying out new board games, or just having a beer with friends.

The role of lambda prophage in a cross-feeding microbial community

I am studying how prophage induction affects metabolic interactions in microbial communities. More specifically, I aim to unravel metabolic interactions between two cross-feeding E. coli strains when a temperate phage is introduced in the consortium using microfluidic experiments and quantitative single-cell analysis.
