About Me
I am a postdoctoral researcher working with Dr. Tim Julian in the Pathogens & Human Health group since April 2023. Previously, I obtained my PhD degree at the Public Health Service of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. My PhD research was focused on epidemiology and antimicrobial resistance patterns in the sexually transmittable pathogen Neisseria gonorrhoeae. I used a variety of next-generation sequencing techniques and developed bioinformatic pipelines for analyses of sequence data. In my current position at Eawag, I aim to detect and sequence pathogens from wastewater using digital PCR and amplicon-based sequencing approaches.
