Sheena Conforti
About Me
I'm a PhD student in the Pathogens and Human Health research group in the Department of Environmental Microbiology (Umik) at Eawag, as well as in the Computational Evolution group of the Department of Biosystems Science and Engineering (D-BSSE) at ETH, since November 2020. Previously, I performed a Bachelor of Science at the University of Zürich followed by an International Master of Science in Marine Biological Resources with specialisation in Applied Ecology and Conservation.
During my Master, I performed an internship on data analyses at Zoological Society of London with Dr. Catherine Head and Dr. Dominic Andradi-Brown. Consequently, I completed my Master Thesis at the University of Bologna with Prof. Federica Costantini focusing on marine species identification using an integrative approach of morphological and molecular techniques.
