Science journalist Ashley Yeager has written a beautiful article in The Scientist about the paradigm shift in our understanding of the role that interspecific hybridisation plays in the evolution of biodiversity. Among other things, she describes the work of Ole Seehausen in connection with hybridisation in Lake Victoria cichlids.
