I am working as a PhD student at Eawag in the Food Web Ecophysiology group beginning in September 2024. My project will focus on how climate change affects aquatic-to-terrestrial nutrient subsidies, and the subsequent impact this has on food webs. Specifically, we will focus on emergent aquatic insect communities in alpine streams to further understand nutritional mismatches generated by shifts in phenology, nutrient quality, and quantity.

Sampling will be conducted along elevation gradients in alpine streams and urbanization gradients in other streams. To better understand the impact of climate change on aquatic – terrestrial linked ecosystems, we will utilize fatty acid and compound specific stable isotope analysis.
