Über mich

I have always been fascinated by water, especially rivers, and by questions of change across space and over time. In addition to this, I have a keen interest in methodology and how we do science.

As part of my PhD in the Altermatt Lab, I will investigate riverine spatial-temporal biodiversity using environmental DNA (eDNA) based metabarcoding. Through minimally invasive sampling techniques and rapidly advancing molecular tools, I aim to gain high-resolution temporal data to construct food webs and assess ecosystem state in riverine networks across the blue-green interface.
