About Me

I am a researcher specializing in microbial ecology, with a focus on how spatial organization influences interactions among bacteria, fungi, and phages. My research aims to uncover the complex mechanisms that enable the coexistence of diverse microorganisms in natural environments, which plays a critical role in maintaining the stability and diversity of microbial ecosystems. By understanding these interactions, I contribute to broader studies on biodiversity and ecosystem function.

In addition, I am also dedicated to investigating plasmid-mediated gene transfer, a key process in horizontal gene exchange among microorganisms. Through this research, I seek to clarify the mechanisms of genetic material transfer and its impact on the evolution and adaptability of microbial communities.

Projects

The plasmid-mediated spread of antibiotic resistance (AR) within and between microbial communities is one of the most pressing problems facing our society, yet the causes and potential mitigation measures remain unclear.
