I am an environmental scientist with an interest in climate change adaptation and mitigation, stakeholder networks and translating results into practice.
From 2024 onwards, I am a PhD student at Eawag and ETH Zurich and work in the Policy Analysis and Environmental Governance (PEGO) cluster. The project I am working on "GreenCityNet" is a joint project between Eawag and WSL, both institutes of the ETH Domain. The supervisors of my PhD project are Manuel Fischer (Eawag), Eva Lieberherr (ETH Zurich) and Verena Griess (ETH Zurich).
In 2022 and 2023, I worked at the University of Bern on a Wyss Academy for Nature “LANAT-3 project”, together with Manuel Fischer and Karin Ingold from Eawag. Its aim is to stop biodiversity loss despite climate change. My tasks were varied and ranged from stakeholder participation to workshop implementation, to writing project proposals, to working with cantons and the federal government and developing network analyses. My main task was to analyse data in R from a self-designed survey in the Lower Emme Valley regarding fragmentation and bridging actors in the Lower Emme Valley on biodiversity loss and climate change.
From 2018-2021, I completed my Master's degree in Environmental Sciences at ETH Zurich, specialising in environmental policy and water management. During my studies, I focussed on international environmental policy, climate change and water problems in urban and rural areas. In my master's thesis, I addressed water challenges in the Jinzu River Basin in Japan, focusing on climate change and a participatory approach using survey data.
