Materials in contact with drinking water
Drinking water quality management starts with prevention. In this regard, the choice of a suitable plumbing material is an important step because the release of organic carbon compounds from the material into the water migration potential can directly affect drinking water quality and/or indirectly affect it by supporting microbial growth. For this, we improve methods for testing the influences of polymeric materials (Bio Mig) preventative measures for commissioning of new domestic pipe systems, and sampling strategies for monitoring. Within the scope of a CTI project, together with partners from industry, control and regulation authorities, we implement those methods and the know-how into the application side.
