Our objective is capacity building and networking inside the Swiss community to foster cross-disciplinary research on machine learning applied to environmental sciences and geosciences. We believe machine learning, and its modern deep learning variants, offer a complementary way to traditional forward modelling by learning very complex tasks from heterogeneous, multi-modal data at global scale.
