Intelligente Netzbewirtschaftung

Die Forschungsgruppe "Intelligent Network Operation" entwickelt neue Methoden und Werkzeuge zur Verringerung der Verschmutzung aus Abwassersystemen. Durch eine Kombination aus Experimenten und Modellierung verbessern wir unser Verständnis wichtiger Prozesse wie städtischer Niederschläge, Schadstoffströme und unerwünschter Einträge von sauberem Grund- und Regenwasser. Unser Ziel ist es, die Genauigkeit unserer Modelle bei der Vorhersage von Wasser- und Schadstoffflüssen in städtischen Entwässerungssystemen zu verbessern. Hierbei ist die zuverlässige Quantifizierung der Vorhersageunsicherheit erforderlich, die wir u.a. durch die Verwendung von Bayes'scher Datenanalyse erreichen.

Wir unterstützen die digitale Transformation der städtischen Entwässerung durch Methoden zur Verbesserung der Qualität der Überwachungsdaten und deren Bereitstellung für alle Nutzer. Neben technischen Lösungen untersuchen wir auch politische Instrumente, um institutionelle und organisatorische Barrieren für den Gewässerschutz bei Regenwetter zu überwinden und das evidenzbasierte Management von integrierten Abwassersystemen zu unterstützen. Wir leiten und unterstützen Innovationsprojekte, die durch den intelligenten Betrieb von Abwassernetzen mit modernster Technologie den Gewässerschutz verbessern.
