About Me

Dionys Hallenbarter studied and earned his PhD at ETH Zurich and the Swiss Federal Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape Research (WSL), specializing in forest and environmental sciences. He then spent three years as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU) in Vienna, focusing on climate change, the Alps, forests, and natural hazards.

For around 15 years, he has been engaged in energy and environmental issues. He first worked for about three years at an engineering firm, and later as a strategic energy consultant for renewable energies at an energy utility company in Zurich.
