Translational Centre Biodiversity Conservation

Alongside climate change, the decline in biodiversity is one of the most pressing environmental issues of our time. The Translational Centre Biodiversity Conservation, a joint initiative of Eawag, WSL and ETH Zurich, brings together research findings and makes them available to the general public.

The Translational Centre Biodiversity Conservation aims to bridge the gap between research and practical implementation in the field of biodiversity and nature conservation.

Working groups composed of experts from practice and science address topics in the field of terrestrial and aquatic biodiversity as well as in the context of policy, management and communication, with the aim of transforming existing research results and practical experience into concrete synthesis products or recommendations.

In the long term, the aim is to develop effective communication channels to enable the successful exchange of knowledge between research and practice in the field of biodiversity and nature conservation in Switzerland.
