About Me

In September 2025 I started my PhD on a SNF project on Trace Element Dynamics in Periodically Waterlogged Soils: Seasonal Variations, Mechanisms and Microscale Effects.

My PhD research will investigate how seasonal changes affect the release of trace elements and microbial communities in soil. In the second part, my work will focus on identifying the release dynamics for Thallium (Tl) and Arsenic (As) from specific Swiss soils during flooding

Projects

This project explores how periodic waterlogging may promote the seasonal release of trace elements from soils into water resources under changing climatic conditions.
