Menstrual products dispenser on the Eawag campus

Menstruation is a natural phenomenon that affects many people. To ensure the best possible working environment for its employees, Eawag has simplified access to menstrual products on the Eawag sites. Menstruation is a completely natural phenomenon that affects many people. In order to offer its employees the best possible working environment, Eawag has simplified access to menstrual products in the Eawag buildings. People visiting Eawag can also use the dispensers. The dispensers were initiated by the Eawag Diversity Committee EDC.

As part of a pilot project, dispensers have been installed in toilets at both sites, which provide free tampons and sanitary pads. The aim of the project is to help normalise and remove the taboo surrounding the topic of menstruation at Eawag and in Swiss society in general, and to provide help for menstruating employees in ‘minor emergency situations’ when they need menstrual products.
