Tural Aliyev's doctoral thesis, completed at the University of Geneva in December 2022, has been selected as one of the top 4 theses (out of over fifty) by the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) and the Fondation 2100 in the context of the call for applications for the 2nd edition of the Francophone Prospective Thesis Prizes. During the selection process, three criteria were considered for evaluation: scientific quality, relevance to prospective research, and utility for action.

The Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie is a global network of French-speaking higher education and research institutions. Founded in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, in 1961, the AUF is a multilateral institution that supports cooperation and solidarity among French-speaking universities and institutions. It operates in French-speaking and non-speaking countries of Africa, the Arab world, Southeast Asia, North and South America, Polynesia, the Caribbean, Central, Eastern, and Western Europe with its 1,007 members active in 119 countries.
