Symposium on Ecohydraulics 2026
August 16, 2026 - August 21, 2026, 9.00 am - 4.00 pm
Lausanne

ISE 2026 + Swiss Ecohydraulics day
This international event brings together researchers and practitioners from around the world to explore the latest developments in ecohydraulics. As ecohydraulics sits at the interface of aquatic science, engineering and societal needs, the program offers a broad and interdisciplinary range of sessions. These span fundamental research on organism–flow interactions, habitat modelling, the ecohydraulics of the hyporheic zone, biogeochemical cycling and remote sensing, as well as applied topics related to river restoration, hydropower mitigation, blue-green infrastructure and nature-based solutions.
Several sessions may be directly related to Eawag research, including:
- Aquatic ecology, river restoration, connectivity and hydropower mitigation
- Modeling, monitoring and data-driven management
- Blue-green infrastructure in relation to urban streams and landscape architecture
- Interactions between ecohydraulics, policy and societal needs
