Gabriele Mayer elected new member of Eawag Directorate

At a meeting held on 28 September, the ETH Board elected Gabriele Mayer, Head of the Finance and Personnel Departments, as the latest new member of the Eawag Directorate. In this capacity, Gabriele Mayer will be representing Eawag in the areas of compliance, corporate governance and support. She takes up her new role on 1st October 2017.

Gabriele Mayer has been working as the Head of the Department of Finance and Personnel at Eawag for 10 years. She brings valuable experience to the Directorate in the areas of compliance, corporate governance and support, and will assist Eawag in successfully meeting the ever-more stringent requirements in these areas. She will continue to manage the Finance and Personnel departments alongside her new role.

Gabriele Mayer has very successfully brought several large-scale projects to fruition at Eawag, including the introduction of SAP4Four and the implementation of the new IPSAS accounting standard. Over the years, she has also served on numerous committees within Eawag as well as the wider ETH domain.
