About Me
I'm a doctoral student in the Microbial Specialized Metabolism group, focusing on human-associated microbial enzymes and their capacity to biotransform xenobiotics—foreign substances such as pharmaceuticals and environmental pollutants. Using a combination of wet lab experiments and bioinformatics analyses, I aim to unveil the chemical and enzymatic signatures associated with the activity of promiscuous amidase signature enzymes on amide-containing xenobiotics.
