Eawag symposium 2022: ESS members win both the price for the best poster and for the best talk!

September 23, 2022

On Friday, September 9 2022, the yearly Eawag Symposium took place, which provides a platform to present research projects funded by Eawag discretionary funding. Each year, the best poster and the best talk are awarded with a price. We are proud that this year, both prices went to ESS members. Lisa Deutsch from the ESS group Inter- and Transdisciplinary Research won the price for the best poster. She presented initial findings on the challenges and opportunities of integrative leadership of inter- and transdisciplinary projects. The price for the best talk went to Josianne Kollmann, member of the ESS group Environmental Health Psychology. Josianne presented research on perceived costs, risks, and benefits of decentralised wastewater treatment systems with reuse in Bengaluru, India, and their relation with acceptance of such systems. Both Lisa’s and Josianne’s project are part of Wings, an inter- and transdisciplinary strategic research program of Eawag focusing on novel non-grid water and sanitation systems.
