About Me

I am a postdoctoral researcher interested in the application of machine learning (ML) methods to ecotoxicological problems to explore the potentials and limitations of predicting chemical toxicity through in silico methods. This endeavor is part of the MLtox project associated with the Department Environmental Toxicology (UTOX) and the Department of Systems Analysis, Integrated Assessment and Modelling (SIAM) at Eawag and in collaboration with the Swiss Data Science Center (SDSC).



My PhD work at Goethe University (BMBF-funded project MiWa and PlaWes in the Department Aquatic Ecotoxicology) in Frankfurt/Germany focused on understanding the interactions of microplastics and aquatic invertebrates across levels of biological organization with Martin Wagner at NTNU Trondheim. Some of that research is still ongoing.
