We investigate how freshwater organisms respond to chemical exposure and other stressors in their environment. In particular, we explore adaptive and toxicological response pathways and develop conceptual and computational models to support knowledge-based risk assessment.

This year’s World Congress on Alternatives and Animal Use in the Life Sciences took place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and Utox was strongly represented.

This year’s edition of SETAC’s Young Environmental Scientists (YES) meeting was held between 11th and 14th of August, in York, UK, where over 100 PhD students and early-career scientists attended.
